Hold on, spring is coming!
It’s not an easy time for us plant people. We’re in the middle of winter, and it feels endless. You might notice some of your plants struggling due to the lack of light and dry indoor air. But remember, spring is closer than you think! The days are getting longer, and I’m sure our plants can feel it too. Even though we’re all eager for spring, it’s important not to rush into changing our plant care routines. Here are a few things to keep in mind for caring for your Tradescantias a bit longer.
Don’t overwater. Your Tradescantias are still in winter mode, probably not growing much, so it’s easy to become overzealous with watering.
Hold off on fertilizing for now. Tradescantias generally don’t need much fertilizer, especially when their growth is minimal.
If your Tradescantias look thin and stretched due to limited light, don’t worry – you can fix that with chopping and propping, but not just yet.
So, hold on a little longer, plant friends. The patience will pay off when we see our Tradescantias come alive in the warmth and brightness of the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more tips to get your plants spring-ready as the weather changes.
